The Dorset
& Somerset Canal Society is
promoting the building of a canal from Bradford on Avon
(Wiltshire) to Poole (Dorset).
It has now become apparent that this creates
an opportunity to join the two projects with a short length of new
canal which will give a connection between the whole of the
Somerset system and the national canal network. (Shown on the map
in
magenta)
